Extended Profile
I love being recommended books to read that I wouldn't normally choose for myself. Some of my favorite books are A Book of Ruth by Jane Hamilton (love her writing style!), anything by Augusten Burroughs and Alice Hoffman, and the Dark Tower series by Stephen
King (actually most anything by Stephen, but the Dark Tower series is addicting). For some reason, I love the super sad, painful, heartbreaking stories - the sadder, the more likely I am to say "Wow - what a great book!". Weird - I know!
What I love most about reading is getting so caught up in the story that when you close the book, whether it is half way through or at the end, you can't get the characters or the moment out of your head. I recently read History of Love and this book has stuck with me for months!
I'm always up for trading any books marked Available. Unfortunately, I won't trade outside of the US and Canada. I've tried it before because I love the idea of my books going to far away places, but once the book was lost and never reached the Bookcrosser and the other time, it kept getting sent back to me. Sorry!
