Ik hoorde voor het eerst van bookcrossing een tijdje voordat Vingilot en ik gingen reizen. Ik vond het zo leuk om op boeken te gaan jagen. Daardoor ging ik boeken lezen die ik anders niet snel uit zou zoeken, maar die wel heel leuk zijn.
Toen we op reis waren (op de fiets van Nepal naar Nederland) hadden we heel weinig plaats voor boeken. En dat terwijl we allebei zo van lezen houden. Dus werd het ruilen van boeken veel belangrijker.
Nu zijn wel alweer een tijd terug in Nederland, en daar ben ik weer verder gaan bookcrossen. De spanning van het wegleggen van een boek (Wie gaat het vinden en wanneer?) en het leuke van het vinden van boeken, maken dat ik bookcrossing niet meer zou willen missen.
