I'm new to book crossing.
I first read about it in a coffee shop, CoffeeBeanz, in Sterling, Scotland and thought wow, I got the BUZZ.
Like you all I love books, I was spending a fortune at Amazon, my bank manager objected, I tried telling him it's not an addiction it's purely for about bettering my understanding of the world. I guess you now the response to that argument.
Hence I found the e-bay auction site and started buying 2nd hand books, one thing led to another, I buy it, read it and sell it on again to finance the next book. Then I started scouring car boots and charity shops, some for my own pleasure, some to sell and finance my own private addiction.
Now do you know something that really cheeses me off, I'll tell you, it's when I read a book that I really connect with, then list it for auction and no one buys it. Imagine how excited I was when I found out about this BookCrossing business, I can let them free to feel the wind in their pages, the joy of being appreciated over and hopefully over again.
My BookCrossing plans for the future are to release my deserving rejects, some to the very wilds and unknown hinterlands of buses, trains, benches, shopping centres and some to carry on the good work for charity shops around my local area.
