Extended Profile
Welcome to the future home of a new Official BookCrossing Zone (OBCZ) located at Penn State University.
Currently (02/05), the bookshelf is being seeded and final permission is being secured from Residence Life for the placement of an OBCZ in the commons of the West Halls residence (dorms). It's an area that sees hundreds of students every day, along with staff and the occasional faculty member.
Update (03/01): Final permission has been secured, as soon as the papers are signed a table will be set up and become the new OBCZ home!
Currently, books are being collected for the launch of the bookshelf. Anyone on campus who would like any of the books on the shelf can let me know - just send an IM to SolvingNormal.
I'm really excited about this! I think that all too often, as students, we become lazy and even negative about reading... after all, generally all we have to read are the mandatory academic texts, or the mostly academic books from the library. Hopefully an OBCZ will help change that!
