The Murrough Environmental Centre is an Environmental Resource Centre and Recycling Centre on The Murrough, Wicklow Town, County Wicklow Ireland run by Wicklow County Council. We are the Environmental Awareness and Education branch of our Waste Management Section in the Council. We accept a wide range of materials for recycling and are developing ideas for exchange of items and goods for re-use. Books are one item that we get a lot of - both fiction and non-fiction and school books, which we would rather exchange than recycle. We also have an environmental library for kids and grown ups and will always accept donations of suitable used books!
We have also begun to get donations of audio CDs...so if you drop in please ask. We provide educational resources and activities to all ages and sell a range of composting bins and recycling containers.
We're delighted with the idea of bookcrossing.com as it's always better to share than dispose! The environment is too good to waste!
