I am a thirty-something mum who works part-time, has travelled a little, married while overseas and reading is my refuge. I have an avid interest in world politics, and humanitarian issues. My family supports a child in Africa and a Columbian refugee here in Australia.

My favourite book of all time is Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird". I think I've read it a dozen times. I also adore the writings of Annie Proulx, Irvine Welsh, Clive James, Carson McCullers, Hugh Lunn, Hanif Kureishi and John Steinbeck. I love books with a very definite sense of time and place, from which you can gain some insight or background.

I love collecting books, lending books and discussing books. I would love to write a book, and one day, I just might!
