I came to Book Crossing earlier in 2006 after I did an internet search for book tracking sites. It is such a splendid way of passing on books.

I generally read books on the 90 minute journey I have at the beginning and end of each working day. I used to ride a motorcycle, but now catch the bus following a rather horrendous accident in June of 2006.

My taste in books is varied, but in most generally in the direction of mystery, be it a thriller or a science fiction/fantasy novel. One of the best books I read in 2006 was The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. A fabulous book that I just could not put down. My daughter is currently reading it and it will most likely pass into my permanent collection.

I source my books from a variety of places. Most recently I have been ravaging the 'Withdrawn from Service' table at the local library, but other haunts include car boot sales, School Fetes and Village Fairs. I read so many I can't afford to pay full price for books, so any contributions are gratefully received and passed on.
