Extended Profile
I was 4 when I "read" my first book. That was one of my best experiences, and I still remember the book it was: "Löwenherz", the story about Richard I. from Plantagenet's house, and after, the story about Arthur, Merlin's pupil, that was the point of no
return.
All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you; the good and the bad, the ecstasy, the remorse and sorrow, the people and the places and how the weather was.
Ernest Hemingway (1899 - 1961)
Books are wonderful, they lead you to other countries and histories all over the world, they help you to overcome, they make you laugh and cry, they make you feel good or bad, they teach you, they give you a special feeling of liberty.
There is no mistaking a real book when one meets it. It is like falling in love.
Christopher Morley (1890 - 1957)
Books to the ceiling,
Books to the sky,
My pile of books is a mile high.
How I love them! How I need them!
I'll have a long beard by the time I read them.
(Arnold Lobel)
To read books is constructive it keeps you young and happy.
Wear the old coat and buy the new book. (Austin Phelps)
