Hello. My name is Lee, and I'm a bookaholic.

I'm a 43 year old Yank living in the UK (7 1/2 years so far) and loving it.

I'm married to Chris, 35, and the light of my life.

We are slaves to 4 cats- Dizzy (bratty one with a bad heart), Phoebe (timid one with arthritis), Squack (stoner cat who runs the place with a lightening fast paw who had a near death experience), Boo Boo Kitty (forever a kitten and a feral we found), and 2 bunnies- Fizz a deaf blue eyed white dwarf lop who always sleeps on her back, and Fidget, his sister who is fawn coloured and never sits still.

Chris and I are both students at Liverpool Hope University reading Cultural Studies (BA Hons). We're on the same course at the same time which is really cool, though most of our instructors don't know how to handle it and seperate us like naughty school children (which means we have to play the part of course!). This will be my 4th degree, but my first in the UK. I hold BS degrees in Nursing, Psychology, and a minor in Phylosophy.

I used to work as a trauma nurse/medic on a helicopter rescue team and I really miss it, but my health no longer allows me to work like I used to.

Chris and I share a real love of reading and have our own in house library with over 2400 books at last count. I'm still trying to talk Chris into building us a library ladder to complete the effect!

I love to read about history- pretty much any era, architecture, political science, archeology, social anthropology, and I love old cook books. My favourite authors at the moment are Liza Picard, Allison Weir, Antonia Frasier, Simon Schama, and Peter Ackroyd.

Chris prefers science fiction, fantasy, political science and current events and collects graphic novels. Chris' favourite author is Iain Banks.

Besides reading, we both love motorcycles, traveling, cooking, gardening, and music- we listen to everything from classical to Aerosmith, Moby, Depeche Mode, Fluke, ZZ Top, Sade, Seal, Sneaker Pimps- pretty much anything but country! Chris and I once had radio shows together which was great fun!

I have Ehler-Danlos Syndrome. This means I'm insanely flexible- like the contortionists you see in circuses and on TV- I was training for the olympic gymnastics team until an injury. This also means I have a lot of joint pain, average 4 operations a year, and at times I am wheelchair bound. I also have the vascular element of EDS in that I have leaky heart valves.

PS. I'm new to Bookcrossing and haven't registered any books yet, but will be doing so as soon as possible. I have close to 100 that need new homes, I just need the time and some help getting them sorted and registered.
