My Wish List
I am a mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoy quilting, cross-stitch, walking, photography and reading. I just cannot remember a time when I could not read, in fact I remember learning to read so that I could check the stories my dad read to me. I was sure he was editing them as he read to make them shorter - and I was right! I used to read the book myself and when he tried to cut bits out I would correct him.
My husband says that I am not allowed to go in a bookshop without a responsible adult to hold the cards and cheque book. He cannot be designated as responsible adult because he loves to read as much as I do and he can always find a book we desperately need. Our biggest problem is living within driving distance of Hay-on-Wye. We only go there when we can find that elusive responsible adult - sigh.
