Extended Profile
Hello, and welcome to the KentRoadKodiaks shelf! Our shelf is located in the Computer Lab at Kent Road School (361 Kent Road) in Winnipeg. We are a Nursery to Grade 6 school and would welcome any age appropriate books you would be willing to release here.
If you're not sure about a book, please feel free to leave it anyway. If we find that it's content is a bit too mature for our students, we'll pass it on to the
winnipegobcz at the Park Theatre Cafe. Any books you would like to send our way can be left at our main office - they will be passed on to our shelf within the day.
Well, it's official! We're open! And what a great beginning for "I Love To Read" month! We've managed to pull together over 500 books for our Grand Opening, but we'll always be on the lookout for more! Books have come to us from all directions - library book sales, donations from friends, relatives and staff, and more than a few released to our shelf by other BookCrossers. We gratefully acknowledge all the help we have received in gathering together these books.
While anyone is welcome to visit our bookshelf, please understand that we ARE an elementary school, so it is important that there not be any strangers wandering about in our halls. You are more than welcome to visit our shelf if you would like to, but you will need to make arrangements in advance so that you can be escorted while in the school. Please feel free to PM K-i-s-m-e-t for further informtaion. We are excited about having a BookCrossing shelf in our school and are all looking forward to following the journeys of our books! Who knows where they'll go? Only time will tell! Happy reading!
