I have made a big change in my life in March 2013 to get my work life balance better sorted. I have taken redundancy from the local authority where I was working and started a new business Bookkeeping for small businesses. Retired since 2020 dividing my time between Towcester and Dovercourt
Worked until 2013 in my professions as a librarian and a manager latterly as a Change Architect while also responsible for Libraries, Archives and Adult Learning in Dudley MBC. I have always loved reading and trying out as many new authors and genres as possible, except horror.
I enjoy singing, history, cross stitch, gardening, facebook, meeting friends and walking (although I miss not having a dog and so do not go out as often as I could or should) when get time from work and reading. I am wanting to develop my own wings and travel around the United Kingdom and the world to see as many places and meet as many new people as possible.
I struggle to find books I can bear to let go, as the authors I love, including Terry Pratchett, Anne McCaffrey, Dick Francis, Anya Seton, Jane Austen I go back to regularly as well as reading as wide a range of other authors. Also, as a librarian, I have another source of books from which I can borrow!
I still get embarrassed ;-)wild releasing so tend to check wishlists and send books to people who have listed they would like them. Alternatively they go around my family and prefer to release books in OBCZ's in Northamptonshire, Birmingham and the West Midlands.
