Extended Profile
2/9/2207 "A book lying idle on a shelf is wasted ammunition. Like money, books must be kept in constant circulation. Lend and borrow to the maximum -- of both books and money! But especially books, for books represent infinitely more than money. A book
is not only a friend, it makes friends for you. When you have possessed a book with mind and spirit, you are enriched. But when you pass it on you are enriched threefold." Henry Miller
1/3/2007 I read every day, and can't sleep if I haven't read that night. My all time favorites include The Poisonwood Bible, Fall On Your Knees and To Kill a Mockingbird. I also enjoy Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware novels. This last year I loved The Birth of Venus, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, The Glass Castle and The Memory Keepers Daughter. I love ethnic and regional novels, biographies and historical fiction/nonfiction. Right now, I'm reading The Inheritance of Loss and have a bag of books from B&N waiting at the bedside. I'm new to BookCrossings and look forward to giving and receiving!
