One of my favorite stories my mom tells about me is that when I was registering for kindergarten, the teacher asked my mom "Does she know her 'abc's?" and I said "ABCs! I can read!". The teacher gave me a patronizing smile, and asked my mom "Does she know
her alphabet yet?". So I picked up the aplication form and started reading "Any applicant who wishes to...". The teacher said "Ooh...she can read."
