I love animals and stories that have animals in them. If I could afford it, I'd have a lot more pets-- as it is, we have three Siamese cats and two Cavaliers named Prince Macduff of Dunmuvyn(Duffy) and Casey's Little Bit O'Luck (Chloe). Gotta love those AKC names!

As of June 9, 2011, I am officially RETIRED! Which... gives me much more time to read. I LOVE books and reading and have since I was born. (I'm not kidding... my mother says I came out of the womb reading and one of my first memories is sitting on my father's lap reading the newspaper with him!)

Besides the cats and dogs, I also have a husband who puts up with all my book-buying, two grown children who also read, and two small grandchildren currently being read to.

Since I taught HS English and humanities, I did get to talk about literature almost every day; but I'd love to talk about literature outside my curriculum, especially current bestsellers or older books that I never heard of before but are wonderful. Sleeper books are great, like Carol Shields _Until_ and I was surprised at how little was ever talked about Richard Russo's _Empire Falls_ which I bought TWICE since my son lost my first copy.

Always willing to trade or just RABCK-- goodness should be shared (along with magic and adventure)! So if you see a book on my available shelf that you would like to read, PM me! We could probably work something out!
