Extended Profile
I have been reading since I was about six. My mother refused to read me another Noddy book and told me to read it myself. I was amazed to find that I could. So it was goodbye Janet and John and hello library.
I find it very difficult to let go of books. I have over the years relunctantly passed some on the Charity shops, but now I feel by releasing them they are still mine in some kind of way.
Well actually I am not letting go of anything I really, really like, but I hope that others will enjoy my castoffs.
I have now started attending Meet-ups. Its a bit like a library without the rules, you can take as many books as you like, and keep them for as long as you like without worrying about fines. (Well I guess you have to show some discipline and there is a limit to how many books you can read in a month) It also means that my bookshelves are slowing down on their attempt to take over the house.
