Extended Profile
Still traveling significantly for work and able to get a lot reading done at airports, on planes, and in hotel rooms. Recent books I have read include "Blink" and "The Tipping Point" by Gladwell, "Lullaby" by Palahniuk, "The World is Flat" by Friedman, "Stiff" by Roach, "Cloud Atlas" by Mitchell, and "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay" by Chabon. Of these, I really recommend "Cloud Atlas". It is probably the best novel I have read in years and years.

Right now I am reading "I, Fatty" by Stahl (novelization of Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle's, the great and notorious silent film comic, life), "Lean Sigma for Services" by George (work stuff), "Reason" by Reich (for some advice on countering the far right direction this country is taking).

A brief update on myself: Still living in northern Virginia in a small southern town. Still working for Global Productivity Solutions as a senior consultant and enjoying every minute of it. Still happily married to Karen, my beautiful wife who always makes me smile. Still have four daughters between us: the oldest, Nina, who has finished her classwork and is currently completing her student teaching before starting work as a high school math teacher (she makes me so proud every day); the next oldest, Desiree, is in her fourth year at George Mason University, working full time and living at home (this one has more energy than me and I am pretty wired); Danielle, who is now in her second week at Lynchburg College and wanting to be an art major (though I am secretly hoping that she switches to communication or public affairs since she is so people oriented), and, finally, Michelle, who has just started her junior year at Fauquier High School (and will have to spread her wings now that her best friend and constant companion, Danielle, is away at college).

Still seeking happiness, contentment, and inner peace. Still trying to find a way to make a significant impact on the world.

The dogs are doing fine.
