Extended Profile
I have always loved books and reading. They provided escape for an awkward, shy child and gave me a window on other worlds, eventually leading me to a career in libraries which began when I helped out in the school library as a kid in the 5th grade.
Over the years I have accumulated many books that I didn't really like, but just couldn't part with simply because they were books. My dad once said, "Just because you are a librarian, doesn't mean you have to own all the books, they will let you borrow them, too."
So now I find BookCrossing! What an interesting experiment for book lovers and all those who like to see how things and people interact and are connected. I have selected a few books to be released -- carefully and thoughtfully, so they are likely to find good homes -- and can't wait to see where they end up!
