Extended Profile
I'm a 3 times divorced mother of 2 adult sons and 5 grandchildren. I've been an avid reader since the time I learnt to read, and was even asked to leave the Brownies (aged 8) as all I did was sit and read the comics and wouldn't join in the activities.
I would regularly disappear into my bedroom and not been seen again for hours as a child and found books gave me an escape from the unhappiness of my life.
In July this year I promised myself I would read more as other things had got in the way. Now I have already lost count of how many books I'ved read but since joining BookCrossing I will be able to keep track of that!
Since I discovered BookCrossing at the beginning of the month I have been telling everyone about it!! Think it's an amazingly simple idea and to think of all the books that have left my hands over the years!!! Now I don't have to practically beg someone to take a book of my hands, I just release it into the wild.
