Extended Profile
Wow. It’s been a dozen years since I was last active here. So I wiped out my old profile info and will update it sometime in the future.
For now, short story is that I retired after 8 years in the US Navy and 35 years working in the commercial nuclear power industry. My wife and I had plans to travel in retirement but sadly she lost a battle with lung and liver cancer.
Time, and life, rolls on and I just recently got married again, less than three months ago. My new bride is a voracious reader (as I am) and we have the common interests of birding and astronomy. She is a retired wildlife biologist with wide interests in environmental concerns.
Dating for seniors sometimes begins with driving one another to doctors’ appointments. During one of our trips, I brought up Bookcrossing. She was unaware of it and thought it was a great idea. So here I am, attempting to crank things up again.
Anyway, that’s the short version. Maybe more will come later. For now I need to get caught up on the ins ands out of releasing books into the wild again.
