Extended Profile
My wife is a speed reader, often reading a book a day, preferring mystery novels. On the other hand, I am a slow reader who prefers Classical and historical works, including such writers as Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Mensius, Su-Ma-Chien, Vergil, Lucretius,
Herodotus, Sun-tsu, Epicurus, Lao-tse, and the Early Church Fathers. I like the writings of Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Whitman, Donne--to name a few. Also, I like biographies. I have thoroughly enjoyed the writings of Michener, who includes such great historical
research in his novels. And Pierre Berton is a fascinating writer. Although a bit unusual, I actually enjoyed reading Rabelais' Gargantua and Pantagruel.
I look forward to finding and circulating bookcrossing books.
