Extended Profile
I love to read all kinds of books. My favourite writers are John Irving and TC Boyle. Their books pay attention to the small things in life, the plots are well thought out and, most of the time, there is a hidden message with a lot of truth in it. My love of reading started when I read the neverending story by Michael Ende (a German children's book full of fantasy). For me, this is still one of the most gripping stories I ever read and therefore I chose to call myself Fuchur in here. Fuchur is the protagonist's flying dog/dragon in the neverending story.
I admit I do like comics, too. Schuiten's La fievre d'urbicande and Spiegelman's Maus are my favourites at the moment. In case you are interested in comics and you don't know these, you should try them. They are really good.
Apart from that, I enjoy reading detective stories, too (British ones and American ones). Most of the books I read are English books. But I do have some favourite German books as well.

I like the idea of bookcrossing very much. I am looking forward to participating at bookcrossing by releasing and hunting books. The books on my bookshelf are not representative for the books I like as most of them are books I offer for trade. Currently reading: Die Stadt der träumenden Bücher (Walter Moers)
