Back again !!! (Febr. 2008)
Aged 40, married, 3 dogs, civil servant with the German Public Pension Fund (Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, until 10/2006 known as BfA), I work in Stralsund and live in Kiel, hold a Degree (M.A.) in history and politics which has proved to be worth exactly nothing . If I am still reasonably well adjusted to life and society, literature in all its forms has to be thanked for.
Since I have returned to bookcrossing after an absence of nearly 4 years im am deeply impressed by the changes.
Especially the "permanent collection" is quite useful.Please note, that most of the books on my "PC" shelf may also travel; I would however, expect the reader to return them to me. Please not hesitate to send me a PM, if you fancy one of them.
N.B.: Due to my wife's illness I have been offline since July 2004. Please except my apologies, if I have not answered any requests or mails. You are wellcome to repeat any requests etc. I have not answered !
I am presently reading: Robert Musil, "Der Mann ohne Eigenschaften" (this book is not half as boring, as anyone says. Since its texture of images, ideas,
wordplay, allusions etc. is extremely dense, you should not read, however, more than one paragraph or two at a time).
William Shakespeare "The Sonnets".
A site you should not miss to visit: -sorry, cannot think of anything smart to suggest. My favorite is actually politiken.dk (a danish newspaper)
