I'm a lover of classics, and the occasional fantasy novel (though YA is continually disappointing). I also greatly enjoy biographies and non-fiction, delighting in reading as much for the sake of learning as for adventures into other worlds. Some of my favorite books, though of course it's impossible to really pick, include J.R.R. Tolkien's stories (not only The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, but The Silmarillion and The Unfinished Tales), as well as the works of classical authors such as Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. I loved Russell Miller's The Adventures of Arthur Conan Doyle, and biographies of that sort, as well as mathematical and scientific non-fiction like Alfred S. Posame's Pi: A Biography of the World's Most Mysterious Number, Jordan Ellenberg's How Not to be Wrong, and Jim Lovell's Apollo 13.

I travel the United States in a motorhome full-time, so Bookcrossing is a great way for me to share my favorite books with others across the country. I'm looking forward to hiding stories as I continue to move. And yet, many of my favorite books I only have one of, and I don't know whether I could bear to part with them. I'll have to look around for additional copies of things I'd like to share.
