Well, this is my first attempt at drawing up a profile. I feel overwhelmed by the work that other BXers have put into their profiles, with graphics, wishlists, and other stuff I still don't fully understand.

I've got lots of books stored at home, but now they are being unpacked. They will now get a ruthless sorting so the duplicates and rejects will head towards my BX bookshelf.
Up until now the main source of books that I've brought along to meetups have been from sorties to second-hand book haunts. My regular targets are the Salvos and the used section of the Salisbury library which are both located in John St Salisbury.
Many moons ago when my interest in reading began, I got into sci-fi writing and books with a social message. In some ways the two go together. In fact my BXer name comes from the central character of the dystopian novel "We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin.
