Extended Profile
I'm 26, a nanny and I now live in Bath, although I have lived all over the country. I'm an avid reader and am never found without a book - its refeshing to come on this site and know I'm not alone. Too often these days it seems that people are turning
away from books in favour of their film counterparts. That said, I do enjoy a good film, although preferably not adaptations of books. Exceptions to the rule are The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption which are equal to, and in the case of Shawshank,
better than, the book.
I am engaged and am planning a 2009 wedding. I have a weakness for plums, spring onions and chocolate buttons. You can buy my love with giant chocolate buttons. I'm a dedicated vegetarian and a stong believer in organic, local produce.
I will read most things but my favourite authors are Stephen King (personal favourites of his being The Dark Tower series), Kathy Reichs (although her earlier stuff is far stronger) and Torey Hayden. I also adore The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice and the Harry Potter's. I'm not big on sci-fi and fantasy is a bit hit and miss with me, but throw me a crime or a thriller and I'm away. I also enjoy a good autobiography whether it be by someone famous, or just the story of someones childhood and the troubles they have overcome.
