It was in a forum that cliff1976 first mentioned the concept of bookrays. I really loved this idea and decided that I wanted to try and establish bookrays for some of the books on my shelf.
Click here to see how my bookrays work. The idea is that each book should continue to move forever through as many bookcrossers who want to read a book as possible = perpetual karma!
The list of people who want to participate in a bookray set up by me is published in the journal entries for each book and centrally on this web-site. See the journal entries for each book to get the details of each book's individual web page.
If you want to participate in a book-ray set up by me, just send me (or LeighBCD) a PM so that I can continue to maintain the lists. I will update the lists frequently. The lists will never close. BUT Please do not ask to join any of my bookrays if you are not prepared to mail books overseas. It is not necessary to send books by air mail - surface mail is fine - but the book-ray will grind to a halt if its members are not willing to let the book follow the light, wherever that might be... I add bookcrossers to the list in the order in which I receive a PM so the travels of these books around the globe will be totally random. How cool is that?!

I used to keep track of bookrays maintained by other Bookcrossers - take a look at this central list. As far as I am aware, many of these book rays should still be open.
