Number one books in search of are J.D. Robb books as I have gotten hooked on her mysteries. Then other in search of's include, in no particular order: Fantasy or Science Fiction, particularly those that are swords and scorcery or magic themed, Steven King, V.C. Andrews not already on my shelf and always any cookbooks.

If I have not journaled a book I received from you please PM me with BCID and the name of book, LOL I have a LOT of stuff!! I am a confessed pack rat.

MOST BOOKS REGISTERED BY ME WILL HAVE A LABEL ON THE INSIDE FRONT COVER, AS WELL THE BC STAMP IN SEVERAL PLACES, INCLUDING THE EDGE IF THERE IS ROOM AND THE BCID WRITTEN INSIDE AS WELL.

**IF THIS DISTURBS YOU, PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR THE BOOK**

I have always been a book lover and reader. My daughter and oldest grand daughter are also avid readers. I read to them from the day they were born and they both grew to love to read as much as I do.

I have never cared for Romance types however, but my Mother did. So In Memory Of my Mother, Helen, any romance books I have or find will come to this site and be passed on to travel to others to read. I will also send off on a journey some I have read and do not wish to keep. And some will only travel to special friends to be returned home and cherished.

The majority of my books are old as most were moved with us from Illinois in 1984 and were not new then. I just could not leave them behind.

Not been making much progress with this of late. Due to the lymphedema I have been told I have to keep legs up much more so that meant less time on the computer. Tried a laptop from bed but its hard to type on it so it's slow going, as I can't stay on my feet long or even sit long or legs swell back up.

UPDATE JANUARY 10, 2006:
OH MY GOODNESS!! My Sister is even more of a packrat than I am, just different stuff. LOL Have finally gotten back home, hubby recognized me, dog and cat gave me THE LOOK, but didn't bite me. Hubby's Quaker Parrot did bite me however, Sweetie is NOT sweet!! After over a month of packing and TWO trips from NJ to Michigan driving a rental truck I am now ready to pick up my own life again.

NOTE TO SELF: SORT STUFF, DISCARD AND GIVE AWAY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND MAKE MANY MORE BOOKS AVAILABLE IN THE USA!!!

UPDATE MARCH 9, 2008
GOSH BEEN A WHILE SINCE I CHECKED MY OWN PROFILE. Should be registering a few boxes of books in the next few weeks that my friend left to me when she passed away last month. Knowing me for over 30 years, she knew I was associated with Bookcrossing and knew I would find new homes for the ones I didn't want to read myself.
