Extended Profile
I have been having a lot of trouble keeping up with bookrings. For the present, if you are here for my address to send me a bookring book please pass me by- send it on to the next person on the list. Within the next couple of weeks I will send all the
bookring/ray books that I have here on to their next destination.
I also will not be trading books for a time. I have so many wonderful books here to read already! I do plan to go on with my release project as funds allow, so when I am ready to make my next offer I'll put it out on the forum.
I have embarked on a release project. The idea is eventually to release a book everywhere BookCrossing has a presence. Or at least everywhere people read English. Just to put some order to it I am starting close to home with the 50 US states first. So far I have sent books to be released in Alaska, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Washington, DC., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii and Idaho
Hawian participants are fanclub, ghir and juliebarreto. Idaho vollunteers are tomatolady and silkroses577. Thank you all!
We had our 5th catch! Penny-n-chaos released a book at a high school in Georgia. It was picked up by a teacher, who lent it to a student and the student read it and made a journal entry!
So far I have sent out 48 Books, of those, 46 have been recieved by other bookcrossers, 31 have been released into the wild and five (!) have been caught. (2/12/04).
Newsflash! I'm very excited to announce that I'm gonna be a grandma in August-
Yes, I am already silly about that child and we don't even know its gender yet!
