I am a brand new member of BookCrossing. I retreived my password today(losing it soon after registering) and have had time to read through how releasing books into the wild works. It sounds so exciting.
I am a member of two book clubs but due to a reverse in finances as well as a move I have had to get well-acquainted with my local library and soon used book stores. Before moving I sold close to 200 books from my personal library (according to my helper) and wish I had known about bookcrossing at that time although I don't know how I would have released that number of books so quickly; the book sale was not a personal choice but about unloading stuff for moving and for downsizing.
So----now I need to replenish my library!! And I still have books I can release which may be hard for me; perhaps I can ease in with trades. Or not; I love to think about my book perhaps going around the world.
I am looking forward to reading about books, reading books, and talking books with other avid readers.
