Extended Profile
I have always been facinated by books and I first decided I wished to write a novel at age 16. I didn’t actually write until my mid thirties after completing a psychology foundation degree course through the Open University. I felt at a loose end after
being accustomed to writing, and so my first novel came into being. Dutch Courage is actually my third novel and I am currently writing my fourth. I am married and living with my husband and we have 3 grown up sons. I worked as a tutor in a large training
organization and spent many years in criminal law. I spent student holidays as a nursing auxiliary, as I thought at that time (age 23) that I may pursue a career in the medical profession. I have trained in hypnotherapy and I am interested in many areas of
psychology – memory, learning, perception and hereditary (nature/nurture). I am also interested in social issues, such as crime, child abuse and drug addiction. My novels usually revolve around such problems or issues that can become problems for some people;
homosexuality and enforced celibacy of priests within the Catholic Church.
