I am a retired elderly lady who has always loved books. I still do but I do not like reading them from a screen so I do not enjoy eBooks. I am shocked that the old fashioned books are no longer wanted or loved and the only place to put them now when you have finished with them is in the rubbish bin! Sacrilege! This way is a wonderful way to pass on old favourites which you will never read again.
I meet regularly with a group of other old girls and we have a book exchange. Another place I have found where there is a book exchange is the local hospital. It is a bring one take one system there. There are lots of places along the country highways in Australia where the same sort of thing exists. I am also a writer, of sorts and getting published for an unknown is pretty difficult. I have one book which I wrote for a friend on her family history and which she paid to have published. Perhaps I could set the last of those books on the traveling trail. Some people may find them interesting, especially in Australia.
