Just picked this one up at the Kingston Symphony book sale. Will read and release.
From the back cover: "Ruby Lennox begins narrating her own life at the moment of her conception, and from there takes the reader on a whirlwind tour of the twentieth century as seen through the eyes of a girl determined to learn more about her family and the secrets it keeps. Kate Atkinson's dazzling first novel, named the 1995 Whitbread Book of the Year in England, is a darkly comic, deeply moving story of family heartbreak and happiness."

I really enjoyed this book. It was sad, funny, thought-provoking and quirky all at the same time. I loved Atkinson's style of writing and will certainly be seeking out more work by this author.

Quirky look at the life of Ruby Lennox, from the moment of her conception to coming into her own as an adult. Interconnected stories of cousins and siblings through three generations. Sometimes sad, sometimes funny. Overall a great book!

I found Behind the Scenes at the Museum this afternoon at the candy shop. I will read it and set it free again after I finish my essay and read The Devils by Dostoyevsky.
Fun read. I gave this one to a friend.
