I'm not usually a great reader of TV books, but this is the kind I do like - it's a semi-academic (about half the essays come complete with proper citation and referencing) collection of different ways of looking at the Gilmore Girls, from a humorous consideration of Kirk as husband material through to a literary examination of the symbolism of food through the series. Fun, but also makes you think - that's what good books about TV should be like (as well as what good TV should be like, really).
The only trouble is, now I want to re-watch all the DVDs again...
