Outstanding chapter in the Peabody & Emerson series, Which I am rereading and forwarding to JennyO. Anyone interested in reading this series after her should get in touch with one of us.

Peabody, Emerson and Ramses are trapped with no food and no water in the desert when a mysterious entity rescues them. They uncover a hidden desert civilization.

This book marks the first appearance of Nefret, for series fans.

Released on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Being mailed to a fellow BookCrosser to read and release. in Temple, Texas USA.

Sonora is sending me all of the Amelia Peabody books so I can read them in order. I've read several, but sort of skipped around in the series. It was nice to read this one and find out how Nefret and Reggie Forth came into the Emersons' lives.

Of the ones I've read so far, The Last Camel Died at Noon is at the top of the list. In it, Peters gets the mix of romance, suspense, historical detail, and humor just right. Amelia is one of my favorite ficitonal heroines, and I have to say, I'm a bit in love with Emerson myself.

It's off to marinaw early next week.
