Secong book in the Millenium Triology. Not required to read the first but would definitely recommend. Preferred this book as I already knew the characters from the first and was used to the writing style so read it extremely quickly!

Thank you so much - now have the first two books. Looking forward to when I have all three and can read them in one go.

After a slow start, where I thought this was going to be a let down after the first book, the story took off with a bang and I was hooked. Like the first volume, there's a mystery to solve - only this time Lisbeth is the prime suspect and the police are out to get her. Only those closet to her don't believe the media hype - not that they think she couldn't do it, just that she wouldn't.
As the story unravels, we find out all about her horrible childhood, which kind of explains why she is like she is. It's a brilliant device to have so many different people working on the case from different angles, giving the reader a much more rollercoaster read than just following one of the investigations. Even the constantly shifting viewpoints didn't bug me as much this time - I guess I got used to it after the first one!
Definitely worth reading ... I'm hoping the next volume lives up to this one.
