Thomas Pynchon's first novel for 17 years is set in California in 1984, where a group of people are struggling against political passions and the consequences of the 1960s. The author also wrote "The Crying of Lot 49", "V" and "Gravity's Rainbow".

Finally done with the book after almost two months of reading... I think I never really got into it, was very confused with the flashbacks, the strange names (and behaviours) of the characters...
Cannot comment much on the book as I am still kind of wondering what the book was really about...
