I think I enjoyed "The Shadow of the Wind" better than this book, but still, it was a good read.
The book will now travel to the Netherlands as part of the wishlist tag game.

I had hoped that I would like this book just as much as its predecessor The shadow of the wind. This was my second try, at the first one this book just couldn't keep my attention.
The story ran for too long. It should have been about 150 pages shorter. I was slightly annoyed by David and just didn't really care what happened to him. But when the ending came I wanted to know what happened next. It felt exciting.
