I haven't read anything by Ahern in a really long time, which is a shame as she is one of the best chick-lit authors around.

We follow the lives of best friends, Alex & Rosie over a span of 50 years, through letters, emails and IM. They almost get together so many times but then are pulled apart by some disaster.

This was a really heartwarming tale about missed opportunities. And I haven't sobbed so much at a book in ages. When Rosie's dad died, all the feels were unleashed. Read this.
