Really enjoy this (surprisingly!). I am not generally into mum-lit type books. While I couldn't say I especially liked Sadie, her story was interesting - her dissatisfaction as a stay at home mum spilling over into an affair with the husband of her partners colleague. Can't say i felt too much pity when it at went to hell, (especially as she wanted the kids and her partner didn't especially, seems a bit cheeky to complain when it was her choice to have them), but it was well written and and kept me interested.
What did horrify me was her lack of responsibility by having unsafe sex with a guy she barely knows and then with her partner - not once in this book was the threat of an STD to herself or to him even addressed. To be honest i was half hoping she would end up totally alone at the end of the book as she really deserved to be. She was actually really a contradiction and i couldn't understand her head at all - wanted to be a mum/didn't want to be with her kids. Didn't want to go through it all again/clucky as all hell. Kind of woman who would do your head in in real life. Glad she's not someone I know!!!
