I've enjoyed several different CLAMP works, via manga, anime adaptations, or both. I'd seen the anime of this series and enjoyed it, so when I found this fair-condition paperback at the Used Book Superstore I had to pick it up.

As with so many CLAMP series, there are lots of characters with tragic histories and/or futures, and much lavish, over-the-top artwork - especially during the battle sequences. The main premise of this series is that two groups of special individuals are vying for the future of the world: the Dragons of Earth want to restore the planet by destroying humanity, while the Dragons of Heaven want to preserve humanity (while hoping it learns its lessons about caring for the Earth). This volume reveals more back-story about friends Kamui and Fuma - as well as revelations about the Dragons of Earth and Heaven. And there's the choice: it seems that Kamui is special, and can choose which side he wants to support. What will he choose?

[The TV Tropes page has some informative and entertaining info on the series, but beware of spoilers - most are masked but some are not.]

I plan to donate this book to the local Savers; I've found some great books on their shelves - including one or two of my own older releases! - and figured I'd contribute a few. Hope the buyer enjoys the book!
