In Watermelon Sugar

One of those books I've always kept an eye open for and finally got to pick it up. Bought from Ex Libris bookshop in Bucharest.
"In Watermelon Sugar" takes you up a path lit by a different-colour sun every day, to where trouts and tigers have special places in the community and everything is made out of trout or watermelon sugar. This is not your average sci-fi short story, it's more like a dream unravelling itself one word at a time. Every idea, every picture, every word seems to have been thoroughly looked for before finding its place within the pages. The story of a man caught between two women is just the string on which every marble, not two alike, finds its haven.
Will probably use this for the 1001-EURO-VBB in July, otherwise it will be available from mid-July.

Thanks a lot lamelemon for sending this book out to me! I look forward to reading it!
Edit: At first I found this very weird and confusing but once I got into this watermelon world is was quite good. A different color of sun every day of the week for example is definetly an innovative idea...

Thanks for sending this. Looks very interesting.
I really enjoyed In Watermelon sugar, strange, simply written, but with so much between the lines.
To be finished.

Received today thanks.
I loved this! It was so different, so quirky and so beautifully written. It was set in such an amazing world where the sun is a different colour every day, things are made from Watermelon Sugar and the lamps burn Watermelontrout oil.
It was completely different to the other book that I've read by the author but it had the same delightful feel to it.
Returning to the 1001 library.
