One of Iain Banks' non-sci fi novels dealing with political maneuvering, intrigue and ambition in a global business. The characters are three-dimensional and interesting and the plot moves fast, but I found the ending disappointing, thus the lower rating. The novel is a lot less out-there than my favourites of his, but then that says more about me than about this particular book!

Finished this a while ago, but have been too busy at work to do any fun stuff on the computer at lunchtimes.....

Really enjoyed this, and now ranks up there as one of my favourite Iain Banks books. Especially enjoyed the main character, plus the plot and wondering how it was all going to turn out.
