1987 Time-Life Books large hardcover of the 1983 Third Printing in the Planet Earth series. I found this copy last year in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.
Edit July 26, 2021: This was a fascinating study of how the surface of the Earth slowly but steadily moves around, and how people eventually figured that out. I thought I already knew these things, but this book really clarified and expanded my understanding of the process. The forces involved are astounding, if you consider the vast scope of the huge, moving masses involved.
