Read by my 8-year-old granddaughter. This is her take on the book:

Arthur's sister tells him about some aliens and he has a sleepover in a tent outside. Arthur and his friends make signs to welcome the aliens. In the middle of the night they see flashing lights and think it's aliens. They become scared and run away. Is it really aliens in their backyard or is someone playing a trick on them?

I liked the story, the characters, and it was easy to read for an 8-year-old. Arthur books are always good.

My older daughter (5) is a big Arthur fan... We have a game about Arthur books and this book is one of the books (card) in the game-- She will love reading this-- (She has never been on a sleepover but occasionally asks if she can at one of her Aunt's house) She usually ends up changing her mind... but I can tell she is thinking about it. Thanks for adding it to the bookbox!
