Yes, this truly is a sad loss. I am heartbroken to hear this news, but happy to know it...thank you, JudySlump612. I had been hoping that having not exchanged any correspondence or communication with BigJohn in several months, perhaps he was still fighting his battle with the BEAST, and simply had to back away from BookCrossing again for a time. Last December, he very much wanted to get his "Another AUDIOBOOKBOX" sent out before Christmas, but was just starting to get back into things after his most recent surgery, and he still had a few chemotherapy treatments to go through. We PM'd several times, and at one point he had stated that he already had all the books in a box, and had written the order of participants in the journal (and also on his profile page) and sealed it up. He went on to say that he normally wrote the book titles in the journal and put them on the journal page online, but was really wanting to get it sent off, and also had two packages of Christmas presents that were ready to mail. I told him not to worry, that I would take care of adding all of the titles into the journal and posting them in the thread online for him once I received the Box. I also told him that I was thrilled to have been included, as it was my first ever AudioBookBox, and it was my pleasure to do this for him. My heartfelt Sympathy to John's family, and all of those who were touched by his thoughtful kindness.

This came a few days ago, I have made my choices and added some books. Thank you for including me.

I am sorry I kept this for so long. Thank you for including me.

His passing away it a very sad thing. We have heard from the family that they do not want the book boxes back, or the journals that he has sent out for this community. So many people, including myself, I would like to see his books continue as long as possible.

Since I'm unable run a continuous Audio book box, I have another dedicated BC member who wanted to take over it, devon612.

May you Rest In Peace BigJohnLefty. You will be missed.
