1976 Bantam paperback of the #1 bestseller 1973 fictionalized irreverent bio of the founding fathers and the vice president, killer of Alexander Hamilton, and would-be revolutionary. This was on my list of past bestsellers to read when I found this copy yesterday in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.

I can let this go after I read:
1946 Williwaw [n/a]
1947 In a Yellow Wood [n/a]
1948 The City and the Pillar [read 2012]
1950 Dark Green, Bright Red [read 2016]
1952 Death in the Fifth Position [read 2019]
1953 Thieves Fall Out [read 2018]
1953 Death Before Bedtime [read 2019]
1954 Death Likes It Hot [read 2019]
1957 Visit to a Small Planet (stage play) [n/a]
1958 I Accuse! (screenplay) [n/a]
1959 Suddenly, Last Summer (screenplay) [n/a]
1960 The Best Man (stage play) [read 2019]
1967 Washington, D.C. [read 2020]
1968 Myra Breckinridge [n/a]

Edit January 24, 2021: This was pretty good, about one of the more fascinating characters of American history. I wish I had time to really absorb it, but I had to skim to end for time. I currently have this ranked at #4561 on my ranked list of best-read books lately, low because it runs long.
