An interesting & suspenseful book. Winton does a good job of conveying Scully's emotional turmoil, buffered by the warm moments of his time in Ireland.

This was a near-failure... I sat at the bar with my friends while waiting for a table. When we got a table, I left the book on the bar chair. 15 minutes later, a server/manager came over to our table with the book, asking if we'd left it. We all panicked & just lied--maybe we should have just explained it, but I guess we're too devious. I'll be interested to see if that guy keeps it or if someone else picks it up.
