This book was a bit hard to read only because its such an old book and people wrote/spoke a bit different then. Anyhow despite that it kept me so interested...I loved Emma..the thoughts she had and I loved the situations that she was in..they were often very funny, yet simple things would happen and they would seem so much more dramatic. I thought Austen's way of portraying characters was awesome...for the fact that each one had his own unique strange stamp on them....Jane being withdrawn and secretive; Mr Knightly being so upstanding of a gentlemen which helps cause him and Emma to argue; Mr
Whitehouse's way of making things seem harder than what they really are and is kinda on the paranoid side.
All the characters have something unique to them and Austen portrays that humorously.
