This movie belongs to the read-because-of-a-movie category; Which I was impressed with because had Julia Ormond and Gabriel Byrne in it. But I could not buy for one second that Julia Ormond was half-Greenlander.
Anyway I like Pete Hoeg style very much, obviously snow plays a big role in the plot of Miss smilla’s feeling for snow, but there are so many themes like the contradictory relationship between Greenlanders and the Danish.
“Growing up in Greenland has ruined my relationship with wealth for good, I see that it exists but I could never strive for it or seriously respect it or regard it as a worthy goal”

Gracias a shadazz, me llamo la atencion el tema detectivesco escandinavo. Nunca habia leido a un autor danes. Lo leere pronto y lo llevo a la proxima reunion.
